Introduction to the blog...

Hi, my name's Toby Wildgoose. I'm a 21 year old who's obsessed by sport, so much so, that I am looking to become a sports journalist/media officer in later life.

I've set up this blog not only so that I can improve and refine my writing skills, but also to provide a platform for potential employers to view my work.

I have already developed a small portfolio of my work, with my experience in the industry including: written match reports for junior football teams, published work at numerous EFL clubs in a variety of formats, and work experience placements at Chesterfield FC and Rotherham United Community Sports Trust - to see my full portfolio click here: http://goo.gl/VWws3H.

I hope to post as often as possible on this blog about anything that is sport related. Please find the time to read any of my posts.

Any comments or suggestions on how I can improve the blog would be greatly appreciated, and I would also be happy to receive any other suggestions for work experience. Please comment on here, email me (tobywildgoose@gmail.com), or even tweet me (@TobyWildgoose). Cheers!

Regularity of my posts update!

I have now finished my external exams for this month. However, I will be posting as 'often as possible' and not everyday, as I have a number of GCSE Controlled Assessment deadlines in the nearby future and want to fully focus on them!

Thank you for your patience,
Toby!

Temporary Break!

Just to let anybody, who views this blog, know that up until around mid-February of this year, I will not be posting any updates to the blog!

This is due to the fact that I will be doing my January exams in the course of the next three weeks. These exams will then be followed by controlled assessments etc. However, I will begin to re-post updates around the time that Rotherham face Burton Albion at the Pirelli Stadium - 09th February 2013.

Hopefully you will understand that I need to fully concentrate on revision.
Thanks,
Toby!

Wesley Sneijder to make move to Turkey?

It has now surfaced that outcast Inter Milan midfielder, Wesley Sneijder could be set to join Turkish giants Galatasaray, after the two clubs entered discussions about a possible move.

The 28-year-old Dutch man has not featured in a game for Inter since the 25th of September 2012. This being due to contractual issues between himself and the club.

So, after much discussion as to whether the Dutch man could be on his way to England it now looks possible that he will move to Turkey instead.

Kevin-Prince Boateng leads AC Milan walk off after racist chants

Kevin-Prince Boateng lead AC Milan players off the field, after he and his team mates were subject to racist chants during a friendly against lower league side Pro Patria.

The event occured after the Ghana international picked up the ball in the 26th minute before subsequently hammering it into the stands.

The AC Milan star then went onto remove his shirt before angrily leaving the field of play. He was then followed off the pitch by both sets of players and the officials.

The game was then called off after players refused to re-start the match.

An investigation from the Italian Football Federation will now take place.
